Memcached in Cloud Website Hosting
When you host script-powered sites in a cloud website hosting account with our company, you can add the Memcached distributed memory object caching system to your plan with only a few clicks from your Hepsia Control Panel. The upgrade will be available momentarily and, since the required extension is pre-installed on our advanced cloud hosting platform, you can begin using it straight away. To give you more flexibility, we offer two different upgrades related to the number of instances (i.e. how many sites will use Memcached) and to the amount of memory that the Memcached caching system will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 MB and you can order memory as many times as you need. Naturally, the more memory the Memcached caching system is permitted to use, the more content it will cache, so if you own a resource-consuming site with a lot of data, you may require more memory in order to be able to take advantage of the power that Memcached can give you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You can get the Memcached distributed memory caching system as an optional upgrade with each of our semi-dedicated hosting and since it works with any script-powered web app, you can use it for each Internet site that you host on our semi-dedicated servers, regardless of what app you have used – Joomla™, Mambo or WordPress, a custom-developed app, etc. You can request the upgrade from the corresponding section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel from which you administer your semi-dedicated server account, and you can choose two different things – the number of instances and the amount of memory that they will use. In other words, these things show how many websites will use Memcached and the total amount of system memory that the system will be able to use to store your content. The two things are ordered independently for more freedom and one instance does not come bundled with a particular amount of memory. You can use the Memcached system with any kind of website and both you and the visitors will swiftly spot the difference in the performance.
Memcached in VPS
Memcached is included by default with each and every virtual private server offered by our company as long as you pick Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you won’t have to pay any extra money to be able to take advantage of the full capacity of this object caching system. The more powerful plan you select, the more system memory Memcached will have for information caching purposes, but you will have no less than several hundred megabytes at all times, which is much more than the amount of memory you’d get with a shared package. This will allow you to use the Memcached caching system for plenty of websites, no matter how popular they are, which in turn means that you can use a low-end plan for them without overloading your virtual machine. The caching system is suitable for script-driven web apps like Joomla™, WordPress, OpenCart or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom-built app. Shortly after you activate the Memcached caching system, it will start storing data and you will perceive the enhanced performance of your websites.
Memcached in Dedicated Hosting
Each dedicated server ordered with our Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with Memcached pre-installed by default, so you can start using the content caching system once your server is fully functional, without needing to upgrade or install anything. The amount of memory that Memcached can use depends on the dedicated server that you have chosen, but as our servers are very powerful and given the fact that it is likely that you will host resource-heavy websites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the caching system can use is 3 GB. This will allow you to improve the overall performance of very busy websites without efforts and you will detect the difference soon after the Memcached system begins caching database queries. You can take full advantage of the Memcached caching system with any database-driven site, including those that are based on famous Content Management Systems such as WordPress and Joomla™.
